You may have noticed that our blog has been a little quiet lately, well it is not for lack of news to share!
It has been a whirlwind few months here in the rwr HQ.
In late April, we welcomed Pam to the team as our Retail Product Manager. Pam will take over the Retail section of our product offering. Pam has 20 years of experience working in Head Office positions in large retail stores. In her most recent position, she was the Senior Merchandise Planner with Heatons Department Stores for 13 years. Pam has joined rwr with determination to turn around the business of our retail customers. After a few weeks of prying her away from Excel, she has now settled into the always on data analytics lifestyle.
Retail Is Detail
Planning and preparations were under way in the lead up to the highly accredited Retail Retreat, an annual event ran by Retail Excellence Ireland. This year it was held in the stunning Mount Wolseley Estate, Co. Carlow. The two day event was packed with presentations all relevant to Retail.
We had two presentation opportunities. John, Chief Data Scientist, and Pam, Retail Product Manager, presented to an overflowing room about how ‘Retail is Detail’ and discussed how management need to be able to inspect every area of their business so that they don’t miss anything. Both John and Pam’s retail expertise really shone through here as they were able to pinpoint areas which are left off management’s radar.
Adele, Customer Success Manager, presented to a packed room on how management can optimise their store operations by following some simple guidelines. Adele brought her wealth of retail knowledge to the room, by providing templates and tips on how to manage your Monday meeting and keep the whole team focused.
We were the Gold Sponsor of this gathering of UK group pharmacy owners which was held in a picturesque Thai Hotel & Spa in Alicante. We were proud to sponsor this event as it provides an intimate environment for senior personnel to converge, debate and discuss the major strategic issues they all face as Community Pharmacists – squeeze on healthcare budgets, intensifying competition, changes to the supply chain, alternative channels and demand for convenience and expertise.
This invitation only event incorporated one to one meetings, or what we now like to call, “attendee speed-dating”. Conall presented to a captivated audience as he outlined the importance of Patient worth to the future success of their business.
